Software-defined Networking "game over?" We respectfully disagree

I?ve been looking for SDN-related news out of Cisco?s event in Milan this week, but can?t say I?ve seen much ? lots of talk about how important SDN is (no argument from me there) and lots of marketing spin, but not much of real substance. And certainly no announcements of any new ways to leverage SDN to solve known IT problems.

 

And it makes me wonder if that?s because Cisco is falling into the trap of taking its own positioning on SDN seriously ...
