The metamorphosis of SDN ? observations from Interop Las Vegas 2015

by Hamid Lalani, HP Networking SDN GPLM

Hamid Lalani.jpgIt?s been an interesting couple of days here at Interop in the Mandalay Bay convention center in Las Vegas. The show has been really quite vibrant. One thing that has stood out for me is how Software-defined Networking ? the term and the value proposition it implies ? has moved from being perceived as a rather high-level, over-hyped idea, to being a fundamental reality. Which is where it actually belongs. The realization that SDN is not just some cool theory but rather a fundamental network architectural transformation is now becoming a mainstream view.
